Perhaps that is the point? just making "content" or this is supposed to be humorous? Orr Didi (the bassist) was with the band from the start and composed many of their songs. He did not wish to play on stages because he is almost blind and walks with a stick - it looks like he overcame his fears, given how he jumps around on stages these days. Hellscore are a semi-pro choir in the sense that they all have day jobs. However, they are operating since 2016 and featured in albums and live performances for Ayreon, Therion, Orphand Land among others (and Scardust obviously), as well as their own performances in international festivals. "taming the land" and “a world that was chaos and void Before we came about” refers to urbanization and development of human civilization - it has nothing to do with current day politics. There is more and I didn't even get to the end of the video. Really cheap.

Interesting. I use Cubase, I have ezbass and wondered if ezkeys had some of the same drawbacks. I’m torn. I know what I want from synths and keys but just inputting the data and getting there is a pain as a guitarist. On the hand I don’t want any melodic “help” I don’t really want it writing for me.

Trey uses more loops and pedals over the last 25 years in an effort to encourage “group jamming” and take the attention away from him being a conventional guitar hero. He had way fewer pedals in the 1990s.

It’s funny how people can’t get their biases and expectations out of the way when listening to Phish. I don’t like “jam bands” either, but Phish reminds me more of a prog rock band that redeems prog rock. I’d agree that Phish jamming over the last 14 years has been more funky and aimless, sounding more like the terrible jam bands that try to cash in on the genre. That’s probably what you’re hearing. Listen to 1990s Phish, and realize how rebellious and hilarious it is that they are playing this music to a bunch of people tripping. The jamming was just more rebellion and a way to turn off the mainstream dummies - including the entire music industry who don’t really like music. This is part of the reason they are one of the greatest - a formerly underground mindfuck.

The difference for me is watching Portnoy makes me giggle like a girl watching him go off on one. It's FUN. Mangini just makes me confused. Maybe technically brilliant, too clever for me, IDK, but that doesn't matter if it's not entertaining. I like prog for the thrills, not the maths. If maths can thrill, it's a bonus.

Basically agree with everything tbh. Though LTE3 was good, but not incredible. Prefered Terminal Velocity. I really hope DT tries something completely out of left field even if everyone hates it. I also hope Portnoy brings back that obnoxious snare from the Infinity-Train period, or some other fresh sound. Drums sound so boring in most modern metal and especially DT.
